Honorably discharged veterans with a permanent and total service-connected disability may have the home they live in fully exempt from property taxes.

A constitutional amendment approved by voters in 2024 extended a scaled exemption to veterans with a partial service-connected disability and increased the general veterans' exemption, which surviving spouses can also claim.
